Service Description

Michelle holds an MSW (Master’s of Social Work) and a Certification in Trauma from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, and a Master's of Science from Columbia University. She is an Adjunct Professor at Wurzweiler School of Social Work, teaching Advocacy and Policy, Social Work Values and Ethics, and Clinical Practice to graduate students in social work and teaches Social Justice at Guttman Community College, CUNY. ​ Michelle has two decades of experience in the helping profession. She has served as director and provided counseling services in programs serving pre-teens, teens, family systems, and clients struggling with substance use disorder. Michelle has worked closely with mixed-legal status families for two decades. She has also worked closely with clients facing grief, loss, depression, and anxiety. Michelle is truly honored to have a career she cares about so deeply. When she is not working, Michelle enjoys Yoga, Salsa (the dance style and the food), and, most of all, making authentic human connections.
